Star Fertility Private Limited is responsible for personal data processed through Ferty9 digital services, subject to the role it performs in a particular care or service relationship.
1. Data we may process
- Identity and contact details; account, authentication and access records.
- Appointment, enquiry, feedback, consent and communication records.
- Clinical, fertility, reproductive-health, treatment and billing information where required for care or administration.
- Device, browser, security, audit and service-performance information.
- Information supplied by a parent, guardian or authorised representative.
2. Why we process data
- Provide care-related and administrative services requested by you.
- Verify identity, secure accounts and prevent misuse.
- Manage appointments, enquiries, feedback and service communications.
- Operate, audit, improve and protect authorised systems.
- Meet healthcare, legal, regulatory, accounting and dispute requirements.
3. Consent and other lawful grounds
We seek consent where applicable and may also process data where another lawful basis or legal duty applies. Clinical consent and data-protection consent are separate. Withdrawal of consent affects future consent-based processing but does not invalidate earlier lawful processing or records that must be retained.
4. Sharing and service providers
Data may be shared, only as appropriate, with authorised Ferty9 personnel and centres, treating professionals, laboratories, technology and communication providers, professional advisers, payment support providers where used, regulators or authorities, and others authorised by you or law. Provider names are maintained in an internal register and are not asserted here without approved evidence.
5. Children and representatives
Where law requires, a parent or lawful guardian must provide or support valid authorisation for a child. We may verify a representative’s identity and authority. Medical consent requirements may differ from privacy consent.
6. Retention, security and transfers
Records are retained according to purpose, healthcare and statutory duties, disputes, security and the Data Retention Policy. We use access controls, authentication, logging and other proportionate safeguards. No system is absolutely secure. Any processing outside India is assessed against applicable legal requirements rather than assumed.
7. Your requests
Subject to applicable law and verification, you may request access, correction, updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent or grievance review. Clinical-record requests may require separate verification and routing through the treating centre. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules are applied as their relevant provisions commence. GDPR or HIPAA obligations apply only where the relevant activity falls within their scope.
